The Senteo interactive response system provides a direct wireless connection between you and your students. Now you no longer have to wonder if students understand what you’ve taught them. They can tell you with the click of a button.

The Senteo system includes a radio frequency (RF) remote for each student in your class, a central receiver, Notebook whiteboarding software and Senteo assessment software, which tallies student responses, records attendance, posts test results and provides individual feedback.

How it works
The Senteo interactive response system is designed to enhance interactive teaching and learning. With it, you display or speak prepared or ad hoc questions, students anonymously key in answers with their remote, and responses are tallied, then displayed on a projection screen or interactive whiteboard. Tallying and displaying results occurs immediately.

To assess student understanding, you can use a variety of question types, including true or false, multiple choice, numeric response and more-than-one-right-answer. Decimals, fractions and negative numbers can also be incorporated into questions and answers.

Flexible assessment
The system allows frequent questioning and feedback, which engages students more actively in the material being studied. When the data is used to provide relevant in-class feedback, and to adjust instruction according to identified needs, then large gains in student understanding can be achieved. Feedback can be displayed in a bar graph or pie chart that statistically summarizes the student responses.

Anonymity
Students send their responses privately, so they are free to answer without feeling judged by peers.

Dynamic content
Notebook whiteboarding software can be used to create questions and tests that embed pictures, sound, video and Flash files from the Gallery. Notebook software comes with the system.

Remote
Radio frequency (RF) technology Radio frequency, or RF, remotes make it easy to transmit questions and answers because the broadcast is stable and remotes do not require a line of sight with the receiver. Remotes have a range of up to 100’ (30 m). Ergonomic design Designed to fit comfortably in young hands or lie flat on a desk, the remote has 21 input buttons that make responding to questions quick and easy. LCD screen The LCD screen is easy to read and has room to display three lines of text. Students can scroll through questions and find out instantly if their responses have been sent. Descriptive icons Icons on the LCD screen allow students to monitor the battery power and network status of their remote. Extended battery life Each remote uses two long-lasting AA batteries.
Receiver
Easy connection The receiver hooks up via USB to a computer and doesn’t need an additional power adaptor. Flexible installation Weighing just under 6 oz. (165 g) and measuring 4 3/4" W ? 7/8" H ? 2 1/4" D (12 cm ? 2.2 cm ? 5.7 cm), the receiver can be easily mounted on a wall or placed on a desk or table. Status features LED lights indicate power status and whether information is being sent or received.

You are the only one who knows which student has which number, so students are free to answer without feeling judged by peers.
